Hi, welcome to the new Substack content for Beard Between the Lines.
I paused this publication a few months to think deeply about a decision to go one hundred percent paid here and what I had to offer to my readers and supporters, that I couldn’t simply give them for free. At least not anymore.
For seven years, I’ve been producing content for free on Instagram, on blogs, here, and I was building myself as an online writer as well as a writer as a whole. Now it’s time to make a long time dream come true, and get paid for my writing and for what I love the most.
Now, if you want to get paid for your writing, even if you’re doing that through a paid subscription publication, the first thing you have to think about is your value proposition. In other words, what is attractive enough about your writing that will make sense for people to pay for or even get interested in?
Today, I’m gonna start sharing things that will help you A LOT with your writing and it won’t be available anywhere for free. Except for the thoughts you will find in this post if you think about it.
But that makes this publication unique for you from now on, as a supporter of my work. It also gives me the responsibility and accountability to produce a worth-reading content beyond all the heart and soul I already put for free on my writer’s bookstagram captions.
As a paid subscriber to this publication, you’ll have access to everything I learned in these almost ten years of preparation to become a better writer in three weekly posts:
thoughts on writing, on which we will discuss ideas, techniques, struggles, and achievements in our writer’s life;
writing lessons, where I will share invaluable lessons I’ve learned and writing prompts for you to practice; and
reading like a writer, where we will discuss and dissect books or parts of a book from a writer’s perspective.
We will also have an office hours post to discuss pretty much anything about the writer’s life.
And that is just the beginning. As we evolve in this new project I’m starting today, we might add more to this. So here’s to a new beginning.
If you are or become a free subscriber and want to remain that way, I won’t forget about you. You’re my reader and you deserve my respect and commitment. For you, I’m going to share a weekly full post with my Instagram captions of the week and a teaser for the paid posts, like a trailer for a movie you’ll definitely want to watch. On the Instagram wrap-up I’ll add some extra thoughts in a solid post that will make the whole bookstagram experience even better.
That’s it for now.
Let the work being!
Nice to see you back. 👍
Looking forward to it!
